Overview
Join LMK’s free webinar on AI, deepfakes & the digital world to support young people to build healthy relationships on and offline.
Are you a teacher, safeguarding professional or youth worker? Join us to explore how the rapidly evolving digital landscape is reshaping young people’s relationships, in the context of the new 2026 Relationships, Sex & Health Education (RSHE) government requirements.
This free specialist session explores the impact of AI, deepfakes and algorithms on young people’s lives, and introduces LMK’s approach to addressing these emerging risks and opportunities.
You will also learn about our new workshop ‘Relationships with AI and the Digital World’ – designed to equip young people with the knowledge and critical thinking skills to navigate this new digital world and build healthy relationships on and offline.
Why now?
The digital landscape is evolving faster than traditional safeguarding policies can keep pace. From AI “chatbots” acting as digital companions, to the rise of deepfakes, young people are navigating a world where the lines between human connection and the influence of algorithms are increasingly blurred.
As these technologies redefine how young people communicate and build relationships, our approach to relationships education and preventing abuse must evolve.
Why attend?
From September 2026, updated RSHE and Safeguarding guidance requires schools to explicitly address the impact of AI manipulation, deepfakes, and misogynistic algorithms. We’ll cover:
- Current insights: A breakdown of the latest digital trends, from AI companionship to the impact of algorithms.
- Practical frameworks: LMK’s approach to discussing digital boundaries and consent with young people.
- Curriculum solutions: Guidance on how our new workshop can support your school’s safeguarding and RSHE requirements for the 2026/27 academic year.
Who is this for?
- DSLs & Deputies looking to update digital risk assessments.
- PSHE & Wellbeing Leads planning for the 2026/27 academic year.
- SLT & Classroom Teachers responsible for RSHE delivery.
- Youth leaders and professionals looking to schedule relevant activities for their young people.
- Local Authority Professionals and Inclusion Officers who can present specialist learning options to schools or youth centres in their borough
- Friends of LMK who can learn more about LMK’s vital work and dedication.
By the end of this webinar, you’ll:
- Understand the key digital trends shaping young people’s relationships and wellbeing.
- Learn how to prepare for the 2026 RSHE and safeguarding requirements.
- Explore how LMK’s new workshop, Relationships with AI and the Digital World, can support your curriculum and safeguarding priorities.
- Have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss challenges with LMK’s team
