Louise is an experienced safeguarding professional; she has been the DSL in two secondary schools and the deputy safeguarding lead in a primary school. She has worked alongside other professionals including Children’s Services, CAMHS and nurses in order to ensure the safety of everyone in her care. Since completing a train-the trainer course, Louise has run level 2 safeguarding training for educators, youth workers and NHS professionals both in-school and with Harrow LSCB. She has also been the Looked After Coordinator supporting children in-care within the school setting. As part of her role as DSL in a culturally diverse Secondary School, Louise chaired a Cultural Safeguarding committee alongside parents, governors and community leaders in order to focus on culturally specific safeguarding concerns including FGM and forced marriage. She has also worked with parent-ambassadors to train parents on internet safety in a number of school settings. Louise is delighted be the safeguarding Advisor at LMK.
