Power & Gender in Relationships

Our new Power & Gender in Relationships workshop supports young people to deepen their understanding of power and gender in relationships, and to safely challenge the stereotypes and beliefs that contribute to VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls).

Co-designed with young people to reflect their experiences and realities, this workshop supports schools to meet the new RHSE (Relationships, Health & Sex Education) requirements from September 2026, with its increased focus on preventing VAWG.

This advanced module is designed specifically for young people who have already completed our flagship 10 Signs workshop. It takes the concepts learned in that initial session and applies them to the complex intersection of power, gender, and relationship safety.

Overview:

This interactive workshop equips young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to:

  • build healthy and respectful relationships
  • recognise, seek support for, and report harmful behaviours
  • challenge harmful attitudes and beliefs safely and constructively

Workshops are delivered by highly skilled professionals using a trauma-informed, youth-centred approach, creating a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all participants.

The LMK difference: Co-designed by young people

Our content is developed alongside our Youth Advisory Board, ensuring it speaks the language of young people today. Our workshops are led by youth workers who are expert facilitators – many with lived experience – to foster a non-judgmental and safe environment. This creates the trust necessary to handle sensitive topics effectively while maintaining a rigorous safeguarding culture.

A whole school approach to RSHE

With the new Relationship, Sex, and Health Education (RSHE) requirements now a national priority, schools must embed specialist education into their curriculum.

LMK acts as your specialist partner to help you achieve a whole school approach. By integrating our youth-co-designed sessions, you ensure that you are meeting the RSHE requirements and, most importantly, are delivering safe, trauma-informed relationship education that is relevant to the lived experiences of your students.
