Esther began her voluntary sector career as a helpline volunteer with Rape Crisis, before moving to Victim Support to manage their Pan-London Victim Assessment and Referral Triage Service and working as an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate in the City Of London.

She established and leads the British Red Cross’ specialist safeguarding team, supporting 3,000 staff and 15,000 volunteers with complex child and adult safeguarding concerns, both in the UK and internationally.

Esther is currently completing a master’s degree in social work and social care senior leadership at the University of Birmingham. When not working she can be found spending time with her children, Dalmatian Indy, supporting her local church, or throwing a good house party!
